On the advice of a relative who is a resident of St. Croix, we booked the trip with Caribbean Sea Adventures. On a very windy day, we sailed with Captain Grant and crewman Noel. These two would get my highest recommendation for such an awesome experience. The sail out was a little longer than what Grant said was normal, but he worked the boat to use points of land to block the wind and stay out of the roughest waves. When we arrived in the snorkeling area, Noel gave some outstanding instruction to the inexperienced snorkelers in the group. Great experience in the water as Noel led the swimmers in the water and managed the group well. We then went to the beach and had lunch and relaxed before the trip back which was the epitome of “smooth sailing”. Truly a really enjoyable adventure…

Captain Miles and his crew were amazing on this adventure booked from our Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Unlike other snorkelling adventures the captain actually spent some time teaching the best methods to snorkel. Despite the showery conditions and the wind, the free rum punch made up for that! Recommended.

We booked this excursion through Carnival. Buck Island — beautiful beyond words! What made our trip one we shall long remember was our hosts – Capt.Miles and his fabulous crew, Ray, Amanda, and Avery.The comfort , enjoyment, and safety of their guests is their priority. Experienced snorkelers remarked it was one of their best trips ever. Beginners were given a thorough snorkel lesson . If they were not comfortable/confident , a crew member aided them individually so they could view the underwater trail and participate fully. Even non swimmers would be able to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. Can’t wait to come back again!

We had an awesome tour of Buck Island! Our crew was made up of Miles, Amanda, and Avery! They were awesome to spend the day with! My friend and I had never snorkeled before and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! They guided us through the underwater trail making sure we were doing good the whole time! We went to the other side of the island and checked out the beach for awhile and then headed back! There were a range of people from children to a few older people and also some who didn’t speak English! From the smiles on everyone’s faces getting off the crew did an amazing job! A shout out to Avery, Amanda, and Miles for the fun day! I can’t wait to bring more visitors for a tour!

We didn’t go with a cruise ship excursion, so there were about 20 of us on the trip; a very comfortable size group. The crew was awesome, and the snorkeling was fantastic! I wasn’t really expecting to put my face in the water and be instantly placed in what seemed like a tropical aquarium. We had some engine trouble on the way out that slowed us down a bit, but the company made it right by giving us half off. We went for the full day, and Turtle beach was very nice, but next time I would just go for a half day and snorkel only.

CSA’s crew was great. Took their time with us, very friendly. Pointed out numerous things while we were snorkeling. Would recommend them to anyone! Great company. Would definitely do business with them again.

We took the 1/2 day trip to Buck Island. It is a must. The water is amazing and snorkeling was great. The departure was right on time and so was the return. The crew went out of their way to help myself and my two teenagers who haven’t snorkels before. Their divers will pull you along and guide you through the reefs so you can see everything. Moe towed us and let us hold onto a lifesaver to help us until we felt comfortable enough in the open sea snorkeling. The captain was great. So friendly and so very helpful making sure everyone felt comfortable. The island is gorgeous and the beach is breathtaking.

Very nice experience. The crew is very friendly and really engaged in preserving the marine environment. Recommend !!!

We took the afternoon trip to Buck Island Reef for snorkelling. The reef was fantastic for snorkelling. Boat was good and staff friendly. Highly recommended.

First time out snorkeling. Friendly, very helpful, and went out there way to make it a positive experience. Captain was great, but Amanda was the best. Would do this again.

Although we were on a cruise, we booked this excursion on our own because it included both snorkel and beach time. We took a taxi to Christensted and the dock is conveniently located right around the corner. We paid the balance and were off on our boat ride with about 16 total people. Our guides were great…very patient. 2 had never snorkeled before and they were very helpful. The snorkeling was amazing, the water crystal clear. Afterwards they took us to Turtle Beach for a little relaxing. Unfortunately, its hard to bring towels over because you have to wade through the water so you’re kind of stuck sitting on picnic benches…you can’t really enjoy it for the beach that it is. The water was gorgeous and it would be nice if we had taken sandwiches as many reviewers suggested. We were running late and didn’t have time to stop and get them but they did offer coolers on the boat. The trip was 10-3 and they were right on time. We had to wait 45 minutes for a taxi back which was a bit annoying but gave them our name and spent a half hour shopping in nearby stores. Sonyas is right near there if you want an original Cruzan hook bracelet. We had hoped to squeeze in a trip to the rum factory but we didn’t have enough time…that was a bit of a bummer. All in all, our excursion was everything we had hoped it would be.

Our crew Grant and Kendall made this a wonderful experience. The others on the adventure were interesting and fun as well. We recommend the hike on the island and enjoy the conservation point at the top. We saw an array of reef fish and barracudas when snorkeling. The reef is making a nice recovery from Hurricane Hugo.

What a trip for my wife, Uncle, Aunt and I on the AM slot of Caribbean Sea Adventures Buck Island Snorkeling Trip! The snorkeling was sensational, boat ride so serene, and the beach on the island was one of the most gorgeous we had ever been on. Amanda, Grace and Captain Tommy were our crew and the were professional, knowledgeable, helpful, fun, and humorous. We all had a great experience together from the moment we set sail! The snorkeling groups were led by the young ladies who were expert at taking people around, keeping everyone safe in an enjoyable way, and showing us how to make the most of our time in the water. We will definitely be joining Caribbean Sea Adventures for upcoming excursions, they are the BEST SHOW IN TOWN at what they do!

Our group of 8 “seniors” went out on the Mile Marker to Buck Island with Capt. Miles and first mate “Moose”. The whole experience was a blast from start to end [even Jackie in the shop made it fun]. Capt. Miles handled the boat like it was a car and Moose took us snorkeling over and through the magical reef. It was a visual treat. With the “M &M” team, we received great instruction and were thoroughly educated about the coral and the reef. The post-snorkel trip to the beach was fabulous and the ride back to the dock was all smiles and stories of the day. You cannot go wrong with this group.

We had a great time. Our crew was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating, even for families with young children. For any one visiting St. Croix, a visit to Buck Island is a MUST. This was definitely the highlight for us.

6 of us chartered a private boat ride and snorkel adventure to Buck Island. Tommy was the captain and Amanda was our guide. They were both AWESOME!!! Amanda was super knowledgeable about all the sea life and coral reef. The snorkeling was awesome. The beach on Buck Island is beautiful. The sand is the softest sand I have ever felt. Definitely use this company if you are looking for a great adventure!!

I was determined to try snorkeling despite being unable to move my legs!!! Our crew was amazing. I was “rigged” to float and was pulled over the coral reef!! I had my dream of seeing colorful fish and even a sea turtle, and a great trip to Buck Island where my family hiked up a trail to amazing views! Thank you Capt. Megan and Avery ; you definitely went above and beyond!!
